An unforeseeable problem or unpleasant event is one which you did not expect and could not have predicted. This is such an unforeseeable situation that anything could happen.
Unforeseeable: About 9-10% of risks are unforeseeable risks. Unexpected situations at work can place new workers at risk of being injured, especially in manual handling tasks.
Dealing with unforeseen events can also play an important role in developing competencies at work for personnel. The social environment is crucial to confirm that an employee will develop valuable strategies in unexpected situations that will prevent them from injury. Training provides opportunity to deal with unexpected situations, but the risk of injuries must be controlled by other additional means, such as permits, SOPs, machine guarding, isolations and purging. Inexperienced workers are more prone to experience workplace injury as they do not have the knowledge or experience to identify potential risks.
