Dear Members,

As we continue to evolve the Wellsite Permit to Work system across our industry, one thing remains clear — strong systems alone do not keep people safe. It is people, leadership, communication, and the willingness to continually learn and improve that make the real difference.

Over recent months, it has been encouraging to see the level of collaboration and engagement across our member organisations. From digital initiatives and training improvements through to the launch of the Digital Champions program, the industry continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to improving safety outcomes and operational consistency.

I would also like to officially welcome our eight new Digital Champions. This program is an exciting step forward for the Association and will help strengthen engagement, support, and knowledge sharing across the industry as we continue progressing digital initiatives and system improvements.

What continues to stand out is the growing recognition that Wellsite Permit to Work is far more than a compliance process. When applied effectively, it creates clarity, accountability, and shared understanding at the workface, helping personnel make safer decisions in complex operational environments.

There is still much work ahead, but there is also strong momentum and a shared commitment to building a safer and more connected industry.

Warm Regards

Ron Seldon
