This is a brief Newsletter to update WPTWA Members and Wellsite system users on progress with the new digital solution and implementation timeframes. We are well advanced in the Preliminary Implementation Trials, having visited a number of operational sites and Member companies in the Surat Basin and Toowoomba. A presentation was also included at the recent Safer Together DCIIRP event in Brisbane. There is a high level of interest in the application and the safety and efficiency benefits it will create.

Responses from site personnel have been very positive, particularly about how simple and efficient the process is. We have been able to confirm that the application is able to be used effectively by people with even the most basic computer skills. If someone is using functions of a Smart phone such as sending texts or browsing the internet, they will be able to work with the app. It really is that simple.

The WPTWA Systems Operations Committee are doing a great job in overseeing this project and I would again like to thank them for their enthusiasm and commitment, at a time when there is a lot of activity in the industry and everyone is stretched.

Implementation Trials will continue in the Cooper Basin next week to gather feedback from as many users as possible. At the same time, the administration end of the system is being finalised to streamline the training registration process and to provide Member Company access to permit data.

We look forward to continuing to partner with you in developing and refining this important industry initiative.
