The end of 2020 approaches and with it, the intensity of the Association’s effort increases. It has been a remarkable year as our members have demonstrated their enormous capacity for innovation as they responded to some extraordinary challenges. In a complementary way, the Association has been able to achieve many of its objectives for the year, including making significant progress in terms of delivering the digital PTW system. There has been a ramp up in activity in the past few months as the digital system is being systematically trialled and implemented in the field.
On October 22nd, the 2020 Annual General Meeting was held via videoconference. This was our first occasion of having the AGM without a face-to-face gathering, which under the circumstances was impossible to accomplish. Member Representatives attended virtually and still had the opportunity to participate in the proceedings. The 2019-2020 Annual Report is now available for Members.
Moving forward the Association is:
- Undertaking reviews of internal systems and processes to ensure they reflect the transition to digital and continue to satisfy the needs of the association and its members; and
- Updating WPTW Handbook and training materials to reflect alignment to units of competency and the digital system.
On behalf of the Board I wish you all a safe and happy festive season.
