The Digital Project enters June 2019 with Preliminary Implementation Trials of the Field App conducted in the Surat Basin last week and the Cooper Basin between June 13 – 17th. The aim of these Trials is to get as much feedback as possible from WPTW system users, and to feed that information back to the Developers for final changes.

Feedback to the Project team and the Software Developer has been very encouraging, both in terms of the ease of use of the Field Application and the benefits of a digital approach to permit development, review, and issue. Streamlining of the permit development process has been considered a big plus, as well as checking that all information has been provided before the permit is issued.

We are encouraged by the high level of collaboration between project participants including Association Members, WPTW Users, the WPTWA Admin Team, and the Developer. The effectiveness of the final outcome will be measured by its responsiveness to user requirements – so we are inviting User feedback at all development stages up to the finalisation of the Digital Administration System.
Currently, the project is scheduled for a Preliminary Rollout in the 3rd Quarter 2019.

  • Preliminary Implementation Trials SA (Cooper Basin) –   June 13–17th
  • Digital Admin System and Member Dashboards –   June 28th
  • Systems Operations Committee Review –   July 9th
  • Executive Review –    July 23rd

Preliminary Rollout of the App to WPTWA Member Companies will continue in Q3.
