s5.3 of the WPTW Rev 3 Handbook deals with what to do in the event of a declared emergency.

A declared emergency will be established upon any activation of an emergency signal and automatically cancels all authorised work unless it is part of routine equipment testing or an emergency exercise. The WPA will notify all WPHs and suspend all open Permits.

The WPH must suspend all permit-related activities and ensure that all work is stopped, and the Job Site is made safe, if practicable. They must then ensure that all listed Work Party members report to the designated Muster Point (s2.3 [r], [s]).

All wellsite personnel are required to stop work, make the Job Site safe if practicable, and then assemble at the designated Muster Point or as specified in the site Emergency Response Plan (s2.5 [g]).

Following an emergency, new permits must be issued before work resumes. This allows for a full review of site conditions and the status of affected plant and equipment as part of a thorough risk assessment, prior to the recommencement of any work.

For an emergency drill, all permits shall be suspended and must be reviewed and re-authorised by the WPA prior to the resumption of work activities.
