Phase 1 of the Wellsite Digital System Rollout has been accomplished and nine member companies are currently using the Wellsite Digital Permit to Work App for managing and processing their daily permits in the field. Field crews are benefiting from the Wellsite technical support service.
Wellsite Digital Administration System (DAS) is now being used by Ensign, Santos, Wild Desert’s administration for enrolment of their employees to WPTWA permit to work training courses (new and recertification).
HSE teams of member companies are expressing a great interest in auditing the permit to work remotely via the Wellsite App and/or report / Dashboard functions of DAS.
Wellsite Digital Permit to Work App
More member companies are joining to deploy the Wellsite Digital Permit to Work App to their drilling rig operation. With this, there has been a large increase in the digital permits being generated, with 952 permits in 2020 and 4,349 in 2021.
Development of training videos have been completed. These videos are currently available for download from our Dropbox. Links to these videos are available upon request. They will be soon integrated to Learning Management System of WPTWA and accessible to all users.
Users no longer require their DOB as a login password. The new built-in function allows users to create and reset their login password within the App.
The new permit data security (rig fencing) will only allow a certified WPA of a rig contractor company to configure the instance associated to the Rig Contractor’s rig site. This means that the OCR and 3rd party service providers can no longer configure their instance to access Rig Contractor permits.

- Customisable work precautions in Wellsite App. While the system has most common work precautions, it allows users to add any work precautions not listed in general and/or under work category section
