Though we are starting to see improvements, the Industry broadly continues to be under pressure due to the unique combination of COVID-19 and lower crude prices. The Association fully appreciates the impact the current climate is having on business and its Members’ needs for efficiency now more than ever. At the end of all this, we will be unlikely to see a return to pre-COVID 19 conditions. We will enter a new post-COVID 19 paradigm with its own challenges and opportunities. We are doing a significant amount of work in the background to help ensure we can support improvements in industry performance.

In particular, I would like to mention that the Association has been progressing with Members to improve efficiency by mapping of WPTW training materials to the National Units of Competency. This means that users who complete our training would be able to claim it as a credit in any relevant training or accreditation programs.

We have introduced a number of initiatives over the past few years aimed at streamlining the training processes and will continue to develop our product and support to ensure people at the “coal face” have the best tools and the least distraction.
