As always, when the end of year approaches the intensity of effort increases. I think that in some ways we do this to establish piece of mind that when we return after the break there will be a sense of calm, well…. for a few weeks at least.
The Association has been able to achieve many of its objectives for the year, including making significant progress in terms of delivering the digital version of the system. There has been a ramp up in activity in the past few weeks as final testing and live trials begin.
The Project is about to enter its final implementation phase. This will involve both deployment of the Field Application to Member companies for loading onto field assets and subsequent use for the generation of permits, as well as training for Users, Member Administration, WPTWA Administration and other key stakeholders in the use of the System.
Key measures of the success of the implementation will be positive feedback from end-users and seamless transition to the electronic platform. Ease of use and efficiency are key success factors.
On October 24th, the 2019 Annual General Meeting was held at the Pullman Hotel in Brisbane. Member Representatives attended and had the opportunity to talk with the Board Members. The 2018-2019 Annual Report is now available for Members.
Moving forward the Association is:
- Undertaking reviews of internal systems and processes to ensure they reflect the transition to digital and continue to satisfy the needs of the association and its members
- Finalising roll out and settling in of the Digital platform
- Updating the Website to reflect the changes as well as include promotional materials
