WPTWA Board Members

Ron has over forty years’ experience in heavy engineering and construction contracting in a number of senior management and leadership roles including engineering, project and construction management, asset management, business development, marketing and sales. Industries include offshore and onshore oil and gas, power, chemical and mining.

He is a former Executive Director of Fluor Australia Pty Ltd and was a foundation member and Executive Director of the original Simon Engineering Pty Ltd and Siemens Industries Ltd “Silcar Asset Management Services” Joint Venture company.

Appointed to the Board in 2014. Member of the Executive Committee and the Audit, Governance and Risk Committee.

Currently the EHS Team Lead for the Development and Execution functions for Santos, John has over 20 years’ in the oil and gas industry including international and domestic drilling and completions experience with several rig types (Floaters, Jackup, Conventional Land Rigs, Workover Rigs, Mineral Rigs) in offshore and onshore environments. Practiced in cross functional EHS auditing of upstream and downstream oil and gas operations, and EHS management system development and implementation within the oil and gas industry, John also has significant experience in training needs analysis for drilling and completion functions as well as risk based management and assessment.

Appointed to the Board in 2015. Member of the Executive Committee and the Wellsite System Operations Committee.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Peter is the Australian Country Manager for Ensign International Energy Services. He brings significant experience in Contracts and Project Engineering.

Peter was elected to the Board in 2017.

Colin is the Wells HSSE Advisor at QGC Shell and brings a high level of experience in production, operations and safety management. He joined the WPTWA Board in 2022.

Ben is the Drilling and Completions Field Manager at Origin Energy, joining the WPTWA Board in 2018.

Kyle  is an Executive General Manager (Rig & Well Services) at Ventia and brings significant industry experience and skills in management and business development. Kyle joined the Board in 2025

 Alan is a General Manager for the Wells Team at Arrow Energy and brings considerable experience and is actively engaged in improving rig site safety across the industry. Alan joined the Board in 2024.
